The Law Firm

 Founded in 1941

Johnson Pochop & Bartling has changed names over the years to reflect law partners who have come and gone, but the tradition has remained the same since 1941: highly-professional legal services when you need them most. We’re experienced in personal injury claims, criminal defense, estates, business and real estate transactions, domestic relations and employment law.

We have four attorneys in our office. Stephanie E. Pochop and her brother George F. Johnson are the daughter and son of Charles Rick Johnson and are carrying on his tradition of excellence in trial advocacy. Amy R. Bartling-Jacobsen is an experienced attorney who works in complementary positions as the Gregory County States Attorney as well as in private practice with our firm.

All of our attorneys are USD School of Law grads, and we are all licensed to practice in S.D. State Courts, the U.S. District Courts for the District of South Dakota, the Sicangu Oyate Tribal Court and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
